Sports for All

At Scholes School, we take part in many different sporting activities throughout the year, both competitive and non-competitive.

We have had many successes over the years, including some very good results at The Neiley Races, Swimming Galas, Kwik Cricket and Mini Tennis Tournaments.

Y3 & Y4 Girls Football 24 May 2022

Well done to our year 3/4 Girl’s football team who did so incredibly well at last nights tournament. Having won the league they unfortunately lost in the final but I could not be prouder of all of them. You all had big smiles on your faces, encouraged one another and worked well as a team.
2 girls have already told me they want to join football teams out of school. Brilliant!

KS2 Cricket 19 May 2022

🎶 “I don’t like cricket, oh no. I love it!”
A big thank you and well done to our KS2 Cricket teams who have had a wonderful day down at Holmfirth Cricket Club. You all did so well, encouraged one another and improved so much over the day.
A big thank you to Ash and Richard for helping out with the teams.
Combining all three teams results we won an impressive 15 out of 21 games!
Well done Scholes.

After round one of Neiley Races our teams are in the following positions;

Trampolining

Lily H Y5 competed in the British Schools Championships final on Saturday, finishing a very respectable 8th in the country. doing both the school and herself proud. She has also qualified at a much higher level in Regionals last weekend meaning if she qualifies in June, she will represent Yorkshire in September. She is also taking part in a number of National League Competitions throughout the year.

Well Done Lily!

Lily H in Y5 took part in the Yorkshire Schools Trampolining Championships on 27 November. She did so well that she became the Yorkshire Schools Champion. This meant that she has qualified for the Northern Zonal Schools Trampolining Competition on Sunday 6 February. If successful in qualifying from here (she needs to place in the top 5) then it’s off to the British Schools final.

GOOD LUCK LILY!
