At Scholes School, we take part in many different sporting activities throughout the year, both competative and non-competative.
We have had many successes over the years, including some very good results at The Neiley Races, Swimming Galas, Kwik Cricket and Mini Tennis Tournaments.
March 2018 - Some of our Y5 & Y6 children took part in the recent West Yorkshire Cross Country Championships at Temple Newsom, Leeds.
Some of our children took part in the ‘High 5 Netball' tournament at Holmfirth High School on Tuesday 6 March.
Well done to everyone for taking part.
Some of our children who attend the Bodyrockerz club, took part in the Strictly Pennine Dance Festival at the Lawrence Batley Theatre on Tuesday 27 February.
The children did a fantastic routine and all looked 'pretty in pink'.

On Tuesday 21 March 2017, some of our Y5 & Y6 boys took part in a Football Tournament at Holmfirth High School.
They played 4 games - winning 3 of them and drawing the 4th -

Drew 1 : 1 v’s Netherthong
Scholes were the overall winners with 10 points!

An annual Cross Country event held over 3 race dates.
Children compete against other schools in the Holme Valley.
Children from Years 4, 5 and 6 competed in the Holme Valley Schools Swimming Gala. The event was held at the newly opened Huddersfield Sports Centre in May 2016
Soljai won a gold medal in the Boys Breaststroke and Sophie won a Silver medal in the Girls Breaststroke event.
Oscion was a finalist in backstroke and the relay team were in the final.
The children were enthusiastic, tried their best and were very supportive of each other.

Our cricket team was very successful on Tuesday, coming 1st in the large school section and overall 2nd place in the competition.
Our ten players won four games and lost three- Well done for this great achievement!
Our new trophy is sitting in pride of place in the main school entrance.
