Educational Visits

Information on our regular class visits such as Cliffe House and Kingswood, as well as day visits for other learning opportunities.

Ballet Workshop

On Tuesday 26 March 2018, we were once again lucky enough to have a visit from SLK Ballet School.

There were 3 workshops through the morning, allowing YR & KS1, Y3 & Y4 and Y5 & Y6 to experience working with the professional dancers. The children watched several different types of dance and took part in some of the warm up exercises. The children then watched a performance by the ballet school.

SLK Ballet School is a professional Ballet school based in New York City. As well as  having an exchange programme with English National Ballet school in London we also do outreach to hospitals and junior schools in the New York and surrounding area.

World Book Day Quiz

On Wednesday 1 March, 4 of our pupils attended the World Book Day Quiz at Huddersfield Town Hall.

Lily, Gabriella, Brook and Joel had to read 20 books between them. They then had to work collaboratively to answer 36 questions based on the stories and authors. They were an absolute credit to the school – Well done – we are very proud of you.

Walking with Dinosaurs

On Monday 23 January 2017, we had a very special visit from 'Rex' the Tyrannasaurus Rex.

Children in all classes had the opportunity to get up close and personal with this long extinct creature.
